Position / Responsibilities / Requirements | London’s City Manager is the most senior official in the City’s administrative structure, with overall accountability to the Mayor and City Council for the policies and programs and general operation of the City, subject to legal requirements and City policy. In this exceptional leadership role, the City Manager executes the overall strategic direction for the City, working to advance Council’s mandate within a large, complex organization. The ideal candidate will have a master’s degree in public administration, social sciences, business administration, or a related field, and an equivalent combination of education and related professional and lived community experience. They will have a minimum of 15 years of senior leadership and management experience, with a strong preference for experience in a complex, unionized organization, such as a large municipality, or similar work history. The candidate will exemplify effective leadership in guiding individuals through transformative processes while cultivating a culture of collaboration. |
