With 13,000 full-time residents (with a seasonal influx up to 30,000), and a rich cultural heritage from 40% First Nations population, the Island is known for its spirituality and artistic influences. Manitoulin Health Centre (MHC), one organization with two hospital sites, provides emergency, inpatient, ambulatory, and associated services across the Island region.

Position / Responsibilities / Requirements

Reporting to the President and CEO, the VP Corporate Services/CFO is a member of the Senior Management Team (SMT) and is accountable for the overall strategic direction and operational oversight of the finance and support programs/services within MHC. Your areas of responsibility will include providing leadership to the President and CEO and SMT in the areas of strategy; financial and business planning and analysis; policy development; resource utilization; quality improvement; and facilities management. You will have primary day-to-day accountability for planning, implementing, managing, controlling, and evaluating the organization’s financial performance and related outcomes.

Position Profile

You will have a degree (Master’s Level preferred) in Business Administration or Commerce or equivalent, an accounting designation (CPA/CMA), seven to ten years of proven and progressive leadership experience in a healthcare setting and a deep understanding of rural healthcare and integrated service delivery models. Your excellent written and oral communications skills and outstanding leadership ability will enable you to lead strong corporate support services and finance teams, promote a culture of collaboration, excellence and continuous improvement across the organization and build sustainable partnerships with other healthcare providers and community partners.
