Position / Responsibilities / Requirements | The DRPS is currently hiring for two important roles for their Finance department: a Manager and a Senior Financial Analyst. This is the perfect opportunity for financial professionals looking to work for a community-oriented organization. Reporting to the Director of Business Services, the Finance Manager serves as the Controller responsible for managing the financial functions for the Service with a budget of nearly $270 million and approximately 1,400 full-time members. This includes the financial planning, financial reporting and analysis, controllership, payroll services, procurement and contract administration, business innovation, accounts payable, accounts receivable and administration of related financial systems. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for providing effective, accurate and efficient financial reporting, financial planning (budgets, forecasts) and financial analysis that will support organizational decision making. The Senior Financial Analyst ensures that finance functions are completed in accordance with established policies, directives, accounting standards, directives and related legislation. In addition, the Senior Financial Analyst functions in a controllership role by monitoring unit and branch spending to ensure overall spend falls within approved limits.
