Position / Responsibilities |
The Dalton Company is seeking a highly experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in cost estimating and project financial management. Reporting to the VP of Estimating, the Senior Quantity Surveyor will lead cost planning, risk assessment, and financial oversight for projects across multiple sectors. They will be responsible for providing accurate elemental estimating, evaluating project risks and opportunities, and ensuring compliance with financial and contractual requirements. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will also play a key role in mentoring and training team members, while building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, and partners during the preconstruction phase. |

Candidate Requirements |
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in quantity surveying, be a member of the CIQS with PQS designation (MRICS designation considered an asset), and possess in-depth knowledge of building costs, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP). Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, On-Screen Takeoff, and Bluebeam is required. The candidate should demonstrate exceptional leadership skills, a thorough understanding of project risk and cost mitigation, and the ability to identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and compliance. |
