Organization Overview / Background

City of London, Ontario is seeking a robust, hands-on, and dynamic individual for the role of a Supervisor, Information Security/Technical Analyst. With information and data integrity being the core element of City operations, the right candidate will bring to the city, their experience, passion for the technology and their ability to deliver on deadlines, follow procedures and policies and be part of a great IT Team.

Position / Responsibilities / Requirements

Reporting to the Manager, Information Security you will be responsible to ensure adherence to the strategic and tactical direction for IT Security throughout the corporate network, including Boards, Commissions and Agencies supported on the corporate network. You will also be responsible for management and supervision of Information Technology Security (ITS) teams.

The ITS Department offers a unique opportunity for the Supervisor, Information Security/Technical Analyst to have a positive impact on community projects and initiatives that require their expertise and input. Additionally, this role provides access to a multitude of important projects with many community partners and stakeholders. The ITS Department also offers Management training and current technology update training as well.

Position Profile

An ideal candidate will possess a minimum of a University Degree in Computer Science or three year Post Secondary Business Information Systems Diploma, or equivalent with CISA or CISSP certification or ITIL Foundation would be considered an asset. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Information Technology, Information Security, Networks, with hands-on experience in platforms like Proofpoint, Carbon Black, CyberArk, PKI, threat hunting, QRadar, firewalls, vulnerability scanning/management. Experience with establishing and/or supporting role-based access controls (RBAC) in an organization as well as experience with data loss prevention processes and technologies.
